Former unified WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO Lightweight World Champion, Juan Diaz, began boxing at the age of 8. After a prolific amateur career where he earned 13 National Gold Medals, 2 National Silver Gloves Championships, and amassed a record of 105 wins with only 5 losses, Juan turned pro at age 16. In four short years, he became one of the youngest title holders in boxing history, arning his first world championship at the age of 20. Along the way, he fought the best in his division en route to six successful title defenses. By the age of 24, Juan had become the unified champion of the lightweight division. Juan’s style of non-stop punching and relentless pressure earned him the nickname, “Baby Bull.” In 2009, Juan’s fight against Juan Manuel Marquez was voted “Fight of the Year” by ESPN.com, Ring Magazine, and the Boxing Writers Association of America. |
Juan graduated from high school with honors and received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Houston-Downtown. When asked about the challenge of being a world champion boxer while excelling in school, Juan said, “I am a student first. Boxing is just my hobby.” Juan’s commitment to education continues. He actively supports Houston’s local schools where he appears regularly and encourages students to attend classes and pursue their education. |

Enrique began his sports broadcasting career in 1992 as color commentator on the Houston Oilers Spanish radio broadcasts, serving in that role until the 1995 season. His experience as NFL broadcaster continued with a stint as play by play announcer for Fox Sports America's NFL game of the week broadcasts highlighted by his call of Super Bowls XXXI and XXXII to a cable viewing audiences from Mexico to all of Central and South America. From 1998 to 2001, Enrique served as color commentator on Cadena de Plate, the Dallas Cowboys International Spanish radio network. He also served as play-by-play announcer on the network for select preseason games. The return of the NFL to Houston in 2002 brought Enrique back to the Space City to serve as color commentator on the Houston Texans Spanish radio broadcast. Enrique now enters his 10 th season in that position and is also a regular contributor to houstontexans.com. |
Enrique served for three years as associate producer for Texas Gameday/Gameday Rivals – a weekly syndicated college football program that covers Big XII Football with an emphasis on the University of Texas Longhorns Football program. |
A Houston native, Eddie is a graduate of the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Administration. He played professional soccer in Mexico and Argentina and has professional certifications from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Since 1999, Eddie has been a professional youth soccer trainer in competitive city soccer clubs. His teams have earned championships at the state, regional, and national levels. Eddie is the engineer of the El Baby Bull Show on ESPN Deportes 1180 AM in Houston. |

Alex Parra has been involved in the presentation of professional sporting events for over 15 years. He got his start working for both English and Spanish language news departments in the Houston market. Alex went on to work as producer and commentator with Fox Sports Latin America, now known as Fox Deportes. He has been involved in the presentation of various events including: SuperBowl XXXI, NCAA Final Four, US Open Tennis, Wimbledon, Australian Open, Bundesliga Football and NCAA Basketball. Beyond his work in the sports broadcasting, Alex is the president of PTS Media, which serves as a Marketing and Public Relations agency specializing in the Latino market in the United States. PTS Media also serves as a agent representative of US based companies in the Oil and Gas Industry in Mexico and Latin America. Alex has been involved in the sport of Soccer for over 25 years, as a player, trainer and administrator. Alex received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from the University of Houston.

After earning his B.S. and M.S in Physiology from Northwest Missouri State and Oklahoma State University, Brian moved to Houston to train professional athletes. He is active in the community and supports the athletic development of amateur soccer and baseball players, and he runs several annual youth camps devoted to health and fitness. |
